Arsenal‘s fortunes are rising and once again it was their talisman striker Robin Van Persie who proved too much for the Chelsea defense as he bagged a hatrick at Stamford Bridge today.
The other 2 goals for the Gunners came courtesy of Theo Walcott and new boy Andre Santos both with clinical finishes (although the Chelsea no.1 could have done better).
Goals for the blues in the first half came from ‘the old lads’ Frank Lampard and John Terry giving Chelsea a 2-1 advantage going into the second half. The Gunners made it level thanks to Santos and went ahead when John Terry’s slip was capitalised by Van Persie making it 3-2.
Minutes later Chelsea’s Juan Mata made it level with a superb strike from outside the area raising the roof inside the Bride. But minutes later the Chelsea fans were silenced once more when man on fire RVP hit the back of the net for his hatrick finishing the game off 5-3 to the Arsenal.
